probably the second least boring post i'll ever make so hang in there

hrm. as of now i'm still trying to decide just how sarcastic i want these entries to sound. until i figure that part out i think i'll stick more with photography and less with the blabbing. do i even have a target audience here? this is getting intense! anyways these are my friend laura's dogs and they're so cute they make me question my masculinity (but they're smart too so it's ok). the second shot looks like it came out of a calendar for canine fashion accessories.

Isn't it a little weird that 90% of dogs are pleasurable to look at and only about 20% of humans are? photographing animals is fun for the same reaons that photographing children are fun (they also suck for the same reaons). animals (and kids) have NO concept of "looking bad in a photo waah" like most adults do. the pictures always display really pure emotion because they weren't trying to fabricate it at the time. the closest you can get to this with us is candid photography.

i really don't feel comfortable making "witty" titles yet

I'll try to keep this short and sweet, since the first "post" of any "blog" is always awkward and boring anyways.  My goals for this are to document a few parts of my life in an entertaining way. I have a strong belief that things on the internet should be fun to look at, so this is also a partly aesthetic experiment as well as an outlet for a lot of the useless things I think up that any one person shouldn't be forced to listen to. On a positive note: i'm not too worried about an outcome as this is mostly for me anyways.
